The pilot plant for the LIFE SOLIEVA project is already operating at the facilities of OLEAND, the Sevillian olive oil and table olive cooperative, which is a member of the project.
The plant consists of a membrane module for the recovery of polyphenols, salt and NaOH and, on the other hand, an advanced solar evaporation system that takes advantage of the greenhouse effect of a transparent cover to evaporate water with the least energy expenditure. In turn, the recovered polyphenols are subsequently treated in a pilot plant located in the facilities of the National Technological Center of the Preserve for their concentration by vacuum and spray drying.
Process operation parameters are being developed in order to optimize them and make the necessary adjustments.
