To demonstrate the technical, environmental and economic feasibility of the SOLIEVA process a prototype will be installed at the cooperative OLEAND (old Ntra. Señora de las Virtudes).
For the OCR (Organic Compounds Recovery), a pilot for the membrane stage has been designed by TYPSA to treat 2m3/h of TOPWW. This plant is composed by UF (Ultrafiltration) and RO (Reverse Osmosis) modules installed in a maritime container. Besides, for the recovery of polyphenols, a vacuum evaporator system and a spray dryer installed at CTC will be used.
Finally, ASE (Advanced Solar Evaporation) system composed by 4 ponds of 25m2 each one will be installed. Eurecat has been responsible for the design and materials selection taking into account technical and economical aspects.
It is expected that pilot plants will be completely installed next October.
